Menu for February 24, 2013 through March 2, 2013

I finally have a smart phone!  Mark and I are also finally on a family plan!  This would have happened almost 2 years ago if AT&T would allow people with different area codes to be on a family plan.  But they don't.  So we waited through Mark's contract and now have Verizon.  After having a non-smart phone for so long, the iPhone feels so fancy!  I've been having fun learning all about it.

Besides playing with our new phones, we've started watching House of Cards on Netflix.  We've watched 5 episodes so far and I'm definitely hooked.  If you haven't watched it, I definitely recommend checking it out.

We really liked these cookies that I made last weekend.  They didn't last long!  And I've already gotten a lot of other positive reviews as well.  They're even semi-healthy!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies [Gluten-Free!]

On the menu for you this week is a nice mix of foods.  If you've never had Shakshuka, you're in for a spicy egg treat!   Then, oven-fried chicken that is both crispy and moist with plenty of veggies on the side.  Finally, more Thai food because we just can't get enough.  This time, it's Thai black pepper and garlic tofu with lots of vegetables.  And if you've never had forbidden rice (black rice) you should give it a try!  It has the same nutritional benefits as brown rice, but feels like an exotic luxury.

I'm working on a stuffed peppers recipe for next week.  Any other requests?
